My basics...and a "want"

I have my basics, and it's that time again- replenishment purchases. While these products are a must for my everyday routine...I found an accessory every MUA must have. Supercalifragilipstick!!!

filled with passion

Weddings allow you to view the passion a couple holds for one another. So in tribute to our friends' special day, I chose to wear Impassioned, by MAC (also seen here).

Well, to be completely honest I wore this lipstick because I was inspired by the coolest tie I found for my hubby at Express. Yes, I am one of those couples. We do not "match" all the time...but we have to at least look like we belong together :)

This wedding in Lincoln had unique centerpieces relaying a story about the couple, I was loving the photobooth, and there was also an area of fire pits and blankets to keep everyone warm. (Oh, and such a good idea for outdoor weddings...this bride had bug spray located in various areas for her guests!)

Replicate this Hair Style...see here!
Impassioned has such a strong pigment, almost acting like a stain! So no worries ladies, you can drink, laugh, and have fun without touching up your barbie like lips!

Leather Pencil Skirt by H&M
Did you notice I had lashes on? They look so natural right?! I had to wear a pair of Biancas by FAUX for this special occasion. A beautiful combination of brown and black strands will give you that flirty eye and they pair well with black or brown shadow and liner too!

Wants of the Week

My dear cousin, was gracious enough to gift me a sephora gift card. What a surprise, and what a treat! I am so excited to have a little fun...here is what I am thinking...

1. Backstage Brow Kit, By Dior-my brows are my signature trait, I need them to face my day. I would love to create fun NEW shapes depending on my mood...or maybe just use them on my clients?!
2.Galion (Slate Grey) nail color By Nars-a girl can never have enough polish...
3.Balms Away, By The Balm- I enjoy their packaging, this is one of their best sellers...so it's a must to try...and I'm always in need of makeup remover-so it's practical!!
4. Sparkling Lickable Body Powder (Marshmellow)By Urban Decay-HOW FUN! I am in awe of their Holiday collections, the photo shoots are stunning. It makes me want to paint faces...and my body with this neat lil'puff!
5. HD Foundation, By Makeup Forever- my gal, Amanda, writer of Veganlicious, uses this foundation and her skin always looks healthy and fresh.
6. FatgirlSlim Treatment Kit, By Bliss-Back in the day, when Fatgirlslim first hit stores, I bought it. I did not use it regularly...so I saw no difference, BUT this kit is a super great $ and it comes with the brush (I really wanna give it another try!!)

What would you get at Sephora????

My very own "Special Issue"

I randomly pick up magazines while at the grocery store. I keep saying I am going to get a subscription, and while it will save me money I prefer to pick and choose what magazine and issue I want to read. Obviously, when I saw Allure's October "Special Issue" on the Best of Beauty, I bought it! So here is my own "Special Issue" of the week. A girl can dream to be a Beauty Editor of a fancy magazine-right????

1. Dallas-Benefit 2. Media Lipstick-MAC 3. Waking up in Vegas-Deborah Lippmann nail color

Intense Exfolikate-Kate Somerville

5. Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil-Organix 6. They're Real! Mascara-Benefit

7.235 Split Fibre Allover Eye Brush-MAC 8. Feathers-FAUX Lash

Beauty From the Vine-Caudalie

I remember my first training on Caudalie skincare...My first impression of the company was dreamy because of their Spa's. I've been to Istanbul, and wish I would have been able to visit Hotel Les Ottomans. It's OK, there is always my trip to Paris (...we are going one day!) or New York where I can indulge in this luxurious experience.

...oh, and Spain would be great too!!!

Cute Fact about the brands name: Caudalie is an oenological French term that quantifies the duration of a wine's flavor in your mouth. One second of time equals one Caudalie. The finer the wine, the longer its flavor lingers on the palate - thus meriting more Caudalies!

If you love grapes, wine, or are looking for a paraben free product, Caudalie is perfect for you! Here are a few products I would recommend to start with:

1.Beauty Elixir-MY FAVORITE product from Caudalie-why? use it and you will agree! It freshens up the skin after a long day, and it's scent is intoxicating so it's like having a great perfume too!
2. Pulpe Vitaminee Eye and Lip Cream-why I like it? because an eye cream is the perfect solution to dry lips, this reminds me to hydrate around my lips more often so they stay firm as my skin ages.
3. Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid SPF 15-why I like it? because it is oil free, protects from sun damage, and has a little something special in it to illuminate my skin.
4. Instant Foaming Cleanser-why I like it? besides the texture, the scent was lovely...hmmm! It cleans without leaving the skin dry because there is no soap in it.

Day at the Delta

Normally, I am "working" a wedding...well this last weekend I was able to be a "guest" at a wedding. There are many reasons why I love weddings, as you all know, I find pleasure in the details. The bride had so many cute things to see...fans for each guest to cool off, ink pads to sign your fingerprints (it was a drawing of a tree, and your finger prints were the leaves!), and this vintage ribbon with their names wrapped on the centerpieces. Oh, and definitely being by the Delta water was a plus!!!

Nail Color-Waking up in Vegas-Deborah Lippmann

I did my hair at home, and did my makeup in the car as we drove to the Delta. Ever since Rachel Zoe came back on Bravo (yes, I am watching the Kim Kardashian episode as I type...)I have been wearing a cranberry, very-vampy,luscious lip. MAC's Lip Liner in Currant and Lipstick in Media makes me feel sexy, not overdone. Don't be afraid to pair this deep lip with an intense eye...I used Bobbi Brown's Gel liner in Black Ink as a eye lid base, and set it with MAC's eyeshadow in Carbon for a softer look .
