Bridesmaid Bliss

Tomorrow is my dear friends bridal shower...with her soon to be wedding on the way I have been thinking like a bridesmaid. I feel the bride should be sultry and classy, while the bridesmaids should represent fun!

Keep the eyes and cheeks clean and chic, and let their personalities shine through with a bold neon lip! After all, they are your friends because of their fun, blissful spirit, right?

Having trouble coming up with a bridesmaid look?
Ask me about color trends and I can help you find the perfect palette for your group of gals!

Can you have too much of a good thing?

HMMM, lining up just my Deborah Lipppmann collection one would think I run my own nail salon. I don't, but I am getting pretty good at perfecting my own manicures. I've been getting in at least 1 to 2 a week. Pedicures I still prefer to have someone else do, I'm a fan of the massage :)

First I use my mandarin helping hand scrub. Than I use my smooth operator to prep my nail bed, apply hard rock, followed by the rehydrating base coat. I pick my favorite color of the moment, and top it off with addicted to speed. Lastly, I drop some cuticle oil on and hydrate with some Kiehl's Creme de Corps!

Do you have a lot of nail polish too?

Do you have a LOT of one thing? What is it?

A look into my bathroom...

This week has been a bit busy for me...work has been crazier than normal, the house has been messier than normal...and James and I have been hitting the gym more regularly than normal-go figure, when I am the busiest I finally have time to take care of my body! I find that when I am the busiest I find the most time to take care of ME! Maybe it's my subconscious taking care of me...hmmm

I urge women to make time for themselves...you will feel healthier, happier, and more confidant to complete your tasks and duties! If you don't have time for massages, pedicures, and spa days use some of my favorites straight from my bathroom to make you feel like a princess on a schedule.

1. No time to wash your hair? Use Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. It's acts like a dry shampoo, it absorbs oils, while adding volume for a fancy effect.

2.Unite Boosta Spray, should be used on wet hair straight out of the shower. It adds volume without making the hair hard or stiff once dry. It smells divine, like your going on vacation to a tropical island...I bought mine at the Mona Lisa Salon in Los Gatos.

3. No time for a pedicure? Click Here to learn more about philosophy's soul owner.

4. Deborah Lippman's cuticle oil is a fast remedy for not so cute cuticles-without a mess.

5.For the past 5 years I have been addicted to Laura Mercier's body souffles and body scrubs...I put it on when I'm craving sweets! This past year Laura created the Creme de Pistache scent...It's scent can take over a crowded room and have people intoxicated with you. The scrub is delicate on the skin, and the cream is luxurious.

6. Fragrances are packed full of memories. Dior's "Miss Dior Cherie Eau de Parfum" takes me to my wedding... with top notes of green tangerine, strawberry leaves, and heart notes of violet, pink jasmine, caramelized popcorn, and strawberry sorbet. It's base notes are fresh patchouli, and crystalline musk.

What is your signature scent? What special moments do you think of when you wear a specific fragrance?

I hope you all find time to pamper yourselves this weekend!

Facebook, twitter, model mayhem, yelp,blogging...so many ways to network!

I was catching up on some emails, and feeling so refreshed and motivated by what I was reading. Because I feel so blessed, I wanted to send out a special thank you to my dear readers, my friends, and my fellow partners networking their way to success! I thank you for many reasons...For believing in me, because it empowers me to keep going, and for recommending my makeup services to those around you. I respect the artists I network with, and I am so joyed to be able to represent my fellow entrepreneurs right back!

I am pushing forward and praying to do great things within this year. I am thrilled to work with all my Brides this year, meet new fashionistas, photographers, hair stylists, jewelry gu ru's, pastry chefs, and new friends!

Please email me if you would like to work together for a TFP, create new ideas, or let me update your makeup just for fun :)

BAKED!

New cosmetic launches pop up at least once a week. How new colors are consistently created amazes me...there is nothing new under the sun, yet new colors just keep arising! While new eye shadow colors can be fun to look at, sometimes the formula doesn't have the best application, or technology to back up it's pretty hue. Here is a new launch that I do appreciate the quality as well as the color.

Laura Mercier's NEW Baked eye Colours ($22) are shadows that will last throughout the day. They are lightweight, smudge resistant, and able to be used wet (creamy consistency) or dry (great for contouring!).

I am loving Black Karat and Ballet Pink. What's your favorite color?

A look into my bathroom...

Some are oldies, but some are brand new products. When I like something I tend to use it in my daily routine, so I wanted to share what I was stuck on this week...

1. Kiehl's Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque $23 Why I use it? Formulated with Amazonian White Clay to gently draw out oil, dirt and toxins that can clog my pores. The addition of Oatmeal and Aloe Vera will help soothe, hydrate and protect my skin.

2. Clarisonic's Opal $294 Why I use it? In just one minute, Opal™ provides more than 7,500 gentle micro massages to instantly hydrate, smooth and brighten my eyes.

3. Chanel's SUBLIMAGE EYE ESSENTIAL REGENERATING EYE CREAM $200 Why I use it? The ultimate in anti-aging luxury starts with one unique plant - the Vanilla Planifolia - unearthed in the farthest reaches of Madagascar. It helps with puffiness, and dark circles!

4. Bobbi Brown's Creamy Concealer and Corrector $32 and $22 Why I use it? It's the ONLY concealer that has hid my dark circles while still looking hydrated!

5. Chanel's NEW VITALUMIÈRE AQUA ULTRA-LIGHT SKIN PERFECTING MAKEUP SPF 15 $45 Why I use it? I get great coverage, without feeling like I have anything on my skin!

6. MAC's 130 Short Duo Fibre Brush $40 Why I use it? I applied my foundation AND concealer. It was a fuller coverage, yet very clean looking!

7. Mac's Studio Fix Powder $26.50 Why I use it? Great for touch ups, the coverage is intense!

8.Smashbox's HALO HYDRATING PERFECTING BRONZER $39 Why I use it? It's freshly shaved, and the color is super natural.

9. YSL 'Volume Effet Faux Cils' Mascara #3 extreme blue $30 Why I use it? It's so vibrant, and great when I don't want to apply eyeshadow. I still achieve enough drama with only mascara!

10. Estee Lauder's NEW 'Pure Color' Long Lasting Nail Lacquer, wild blue $19 Why I use it? I'm not a huge Lauder fan, but their new nail colors have caught my breath! Love this blue! Ohhh!

Hope you all enjoy my latest favorites!
